Over time, ageing will see muscles lose flexibility and their ability to contract. This combined with sun damage, smiling and advancing years can cause the gradual appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. These are often most visible around the forehead, nose and eyes.

Anti-wrinkle injections (also known as Botox) can be used to gently relax the muscles which in turn will dramatically soften the lines.

The most common areas for wrinkle removal are:

Forehead
Frown lines between the eyebrows (also known as ‘bunny lines’)
Eye area, often referred to as crow’s feet

Every patient is different and so results will vary, but as a rule most patients will see a drastic improvement in their appearance in as little as 4-5 days following treatment. Results can last from anything between 3-6 months, with some patients returning in-between for ‘top-ups’.

The treatment itself is very straightforward, with most patients reporting only minor discomfort. Of course, we will advise you on likely outcomes at your free consultation appointment and give you all the information and advice you need in order to make an informed decision.
